I Want To Live: A Poem
I want to be filled with laughter
have it spill out, uncontrolled
like when I was a child
before I began to withhold
I want to do something amazing
something I feel in my core
like walk a thousand miles
until I am broken, bruised and sore
I want to be filled with wonder
see things I can’t comprehend
Like when you gaze across the ocean
and question if there’s an end
I want to live each and every moment
not wasting a single one
I want to try, and do, everything
and finish all that I’ve begun
I want to live
